Alex Hahn

Ludlow Arts
ABOUT
Alex Hahn
Alexander Hahn is an artist working with video, photography, computer imaging, and AI-assisted processes. His practice examines memory, perception, and the way images migrate between mediums—especially the translation of light into signal, and signal back into material form. Since his early moving-image works, he has pursued a “cinema of attention,” often built from simple observations, duration, and subtle transformations. Recent projects extend this approach through generative tools, where latent-space imagery becomes a contemporary analogue to dream and recollection: images are not merely produced, but reconstructed—with their gaps, errors, and confabulations left visible. Hahn’s work spans single-channel pieces, installations, and hybrid print/video objects, frequently linking the everyday to larger cultural and literary references.
