New York Festivals TV & Film Awards 2011 Program Goes Green with Mobile App at NAB Show

New York Festivals® International Television & Film Awards goes green this year with an e-program version offered on a mobile app of the 2011 TV & Film Awards program.  Attendees of the TV & Film Awards, being held on April 12th at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas, will be able to view this year’s awards program guide on their phone or mobile device, to view the app go to: http://www.newyorkfestivals.com/nabshow/

The NYF designed mobile app e-program will communicate all pertinent program information: Grand Trophy, Gold, Silver, and Bronze award-winning work, as well as NYF and NAB co-sponsored screenings, speaker events, and updates. 

“NYF is committed to using technology in a creative way.  This app will help both attendees and award winners navigate the conference and view the winning entries easily and effectively,” said Rose Anderson, Executive Director of New York Festivals International Television & Film Awards. 

The New York Festivals Awards Ceremony will shine the spotlight on 2011’s World’s Best TV Programs & Films™.   The inaugural Television & Film Awards 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to legendary documentary filmmaker Albert Maysles, as well as The Broadcaster of the Year, Production Company of the Year, and United Nations Department of Public Information Awards. 

New York Festivals and The NAB Show will host two Content Conferences.  The first, “360 Degree Advertising Around the World,” will be held on Monday, April 11th at 10:30am – 11:30am.  This conference introduces several NYF Advertising award-winning entries that demonstrate the innovative use of various mediums. The panel includes the following prominent industry thought leaders:  Blake Ebel, Chief Creative Officer of Factory Labs, Denver;  Jason J. Hehman, Director of  Client Solutions at Domani Studios, Brooklyn; Derek Robson, Managing Director of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco;  and Dennis Ryan, Chief Creative Officer of Olson Advertising, Minneapolis.

The second Content Conference, “Albert Maysles on Albert Maysles,” is being held on Tuesday, April 12th at 9:30am – 10:30am.  Albert Maysles will engage attendees in a conversation featuring selections from his unsurpassed body of work.  Bradley Kaplan, Filmmaking Partner and President of Maysles Films, will moderate.
 
NYF and NAB will co-sponsor a screening of the 2011 Television & Film Awards Grand Trophy winning entries, and Q & A with award winners.  The screening takes place on Wednesday, April 13th from 12:30pm - 3:30pm in the Content Theater.
