NYF Television & Film Awards Grows its Green Initiative; Mobile App Puts Award-Winning Entries at Attendees Fingertips

New York, NY | April 15, 2012

New York Festivals® International Television & Film Awards, continues to grow its green initiative for the second year in a row by offering an e-program on a mobile app. Attendees of the 2012 TV & Film Awards, taking place April 17th at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, can save trees while viewing the paperless awards program on their phone or mobile device. The New York Festivals e-program mobile app will communicate all of the 2012 TV & Film awards program information:  Grand Trophy, Gold, Silver, and Bronze award-winning entries, as well as the 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award, Broadcaster of the Year, Production Company of the Year, and United Nations Department of Public Information Awards. All NYF & NAB co-sponsored events and screenings will also be included.

Newly launched in 2012, the Green Promotion category continues NYF’s support for all things Green by honoring promos created for environmental awareness campaigns. Green Promotion entries achieving Finalists status include i-CABLE Entertainment Limited, Hong Kong “Save The World: Conserve Energy”, and Cartoon Network Latin America, USA “Green Campaign”. 2012 Award winners will be announced at the April 17th Awards Ceremony.  

New York Festivals Television & Film Awards will shine the spotlight on the World’s Best TV & Films™. The second annual NYF Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to one of sports broadcasting industry’s most accomplished executives Geoffrey Mason, Senior Production Specialist for ESPN.  Mr. Mason, will be the keynote speaker for the 2012 NAB Show “Creative Master Series,” featuring an in-depth interview conducted by acclaimed sports journalist, ESPN Anchor Bob Ley titled “Mason Unplugged” on April 17th at 9:30AM.
 
2012 Grand Trophy winning work will be showcased at an NYF/NAB sponsored screening on April 18th at 3:00PM taking place at the Content Theater.
